Public Events
'Circle of Life' Photography Show

Judging
  • Entrants will be notified on Thursday, February 22, 2024, whether or not any of their photo(s) was selected for the exhibit. 

  • The show will be professionally judged, with ribbons awarded in each category and a ‘crowd favorite’ awarded by popular vote.​

  • Winners will be announced on Thursday, March 7, 2024.

Exhibition​

  • The photo show will be exhibited in the Mountai​n Lakes High School lobby March 1-8, 2024.

    • Open for publi​c viewing on March 1-2 only, for visitors attending the MLHS Theatre production of Something Rotten!​

  • The show will be available online throughout the exhibition period for viewing and voting for the​ ‘crowd favorite.'

    • ​​Anyone may vote online for the ‘crowd favorite’; it is not necessary to visit the exhibit in-person to vote.

    • Voting is open February 29-6, 2024.

If your entry is selected for the exhibit:

 

Photo Display Requirements
  • Images must be presented as an 8x10 inch print, matted in a plain white mat (with backing), sized 11x14 inches. 

  • No frame. No homemade mats. No double mats. No textured mats. No foam board mats. Nothing mounted on the back of mat.

  • ​For any photo to be exhibited in the show, a donation of $10/photo is requested, payable at photo drop-off (see dates/times below).

    • No fee for Garden Club of Mountain Lakes members.

Entry Drop-off and Pick-up
  • Exhibitors may drop-off their print(s) at the Mountain Lakes Public Library:

    • Saturday, F​​ebruary 24th 11am til 130pm, or Monday, February 26th 4 til 830pm

  • Exhibitors may pick-up their photos (and ribbons) at the Mountain Lakes Public Library:

    • ​​Saturday, March 9th 11am til 130pm, or on Monday, March 11th 4 til 830pm

  • Please contact the Show Chair to make arrangements if you cannot drop-off or pick-up your entry during these timeframes.

    • Photos not picked up will becom​​e the property of the Garden Club of Mountain Lakes.
